Core Update

Today, we're releasing a redesigned Recruiting Planner in Ashby. As planning gets underway for next year we wanted to revisit these core elements to help you build and effectively communicate your recruiting plans.

The new design streamlines setup with a guided flow and adds helpful context throughout so you can quickly understand and adjust your recruiting plan. Let’s take a look at some of the major improvements.

Guided onboarding flow

If you’re just getting started with the Recruiting Planner in Ashby there's a new onboarding screen to help you quickly build your plan so you can dig into the data.

In just a few clicks, the planner generates several visualizations with color-coded pacing starting with a table summary.

Once you’re in the new recruiting planner builder, you can click to add new targets or configure existing ones neatly organized in the left hand menu.

After you click into a target you can adjust target hires, filter by different properties, modify passthrough rates (or use historical data).

This new builder experience simplifies your recruiting plan setup and we’ll even have some data quality checks to make sure your plans are viable as you build them.

Helpful context for your metrics

We’ve also added more descriptive tool tips to help you understand the data you’re viewing. Ensuring you can use your plans as an anchor point for strategic conversations is essential to making use of your plans throughout the year.

Hover over the numbers and headlines in your summary table to get an explanation of the data and columns.

Changing data visualizations

You can swap out your different data visualizations for your plan using a neatly tucked away dropdown.

Configure your table settings

Hide columns or metrics you don’t want to present when viewing your data.

Use these table settings to tailor how your data is displayed, making it easier for your audience to interpret and act on.

Getting started

The redesigned Recruiting Planner is ready to use as you kick off your 2026 planning. To get started you can head to any existing Recruiting Plan under “Saved Reports” or start from scratch by heading to the “Recruiting Planner” custom report in the new Report Builder section.
