We've made an update to how resumes will display in Ashby. Here's a breakdown:

When a candidate applies to a job posting:

  • The resume uploaded on the application form will be displayed on both the application and candidate profile
  • If the application's resume is updated, it updates both the application and candidate profile's resume.

If a resume doesn't exist on the candidate profile or application:

  • Uploading a resume to the candidate profile will apply the resume as a "candidate profile" resume in any applications
  • Uploading a resume to the application will apply the resume as a "job consideration" resume, as well as add the resume to the candidate profile.

When performing a bulk application review, if both the candidate profile and application has a resume, you'll see the application resume. If the candidate profile's resume is more current, you'll see an option to view the latest resume. Clicking on the See Latest Resume button will take you to the candidate profile to review.

If a candidate applies with a resume, and you update this, this will only update the application resume and keep the candidate's resume intact.

If you delete the resume from the application, only the application's resume is deleted. Then, the candidate profile's resume will be used for the application.

If you delete the candidate profile's resume and a resume exists on the application, the application resume will now be displayed on the candidate profile.
