Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

When I joined, Ashby had no public site and only a few hundred customers. Today we serve thousands customers, have grown 135% YoY, and operate as a remote team across 20+ countries. Most of all, I’m proud of the marketing team we’ve built: people who show up for each other, move fast, obsess over details, and keep raising the bar—across our community program, podcast, benchmark reports, and Ashby One, all the way to delightfully scrappy ABM gifts and our clothing lines the team is pushing for better and the energy it creates is infectious.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

The velocity and consistency at which we deliver against our product roadmap and the cascading implications that has in terms of the quality, impact, and planning that it enables in marketing.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

As the first non-eng hire in Europe I've helped set the foundation on how we go-to-market in EMEA.

Something I've helped the team with...

I helped our Go-To-Market folks out with talk-tracks on what recruiters and Head of Talents want to see during a demo: the complete journey of a candidate moving from application to offer and how we demo cNPS and surveys. Also I'm a big automation nerd, so built a lot of Alfred automation recipes for the Go-To-Market team.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

Transparency. For instance, I find it refreshing that everyone has access to all our revenue metrics from progress against goal to churn.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

I set up our launch framework for new features. We now have a repeatable process to take new features to market and ensure Ashby remains seen as the most innovative and fast moving in our industry.

Something I've helped the team with...

Partnering with the Product team, I've helped maintain and keep our internal roadmap up to date. Team members have a reliable place to view what new features we'll be shipping soon.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

How early we are and yet how much we've accomplished! This is the beginning of a long and successful run for our team.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

The Ashby 2023 Keynote! While all of marketing ran this effort, I got to own two important sections from content to customer interviews to post-production, and helped run the day of production and coach speakers during the actual event. Was an awesome way to get to know the team, collaborate, and deliver real value for our customers.

Something I've helped the team with...

Small but important as a growing company: Built a social media calendar in Asana for marketing to easily visualize what is being promoted by the team as a whole and when we have gaps in updates to introduce fresh content ideas.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

That it hasn't taken over the entire ATS market yet! The product is incredible, driven by a team that is humble, diligent, and deeply passionate about championing talent and recruiting.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

Creating customized dashboards and reports is my favorite part of being a Recruiting Operations Consultant at Ashby. Through these builds, we are able to cut manual work time for recruiting ops and recruiting teams down significantly. As someone who has previously been a recruiter, I know how much every second of the day matters and being able to cut hours off a recruiting team's workload is incredibly motivating and rewarding.

Something I've helped the team with...

I rebuilt and reconfigured standardized dashboards to make it easier to onboard customers using the analytics functionality.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

The intentionality of both the product and growth of the company. The product is created with such great intention so that our foundation is prepared for change and scale. Outside of the product, team growth is planned with great care to ensure we are hiring the right people at the right time for the workload of the organization.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

I've been working on our LinkedIn Ads strategy and it's been an amazing journey in teamwork. Redefining this strategy has required cross-functional efforts and aligning the execution across many folks. The results have rewarded the amazing work the team has done.

Something I've helped the team with...

For a Marketing team, being able to target the right audiences at the right time is crucial for any campaign or channel. I built a Total Addressable Market database that allows us to track and evaluate companies in our market and identify ones that are ready to start the sales cycle with us. This data improves our knowledge and targeting of prospects across many different channels.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

Ashby's remote culture is unique; its values are designed to make each team efficient, autonomous, but aligned with the company goals.

Head of Partnerships

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

In my first quarter, we brought 15+ new integrations to market. I'm excited to keep up that velocity and keep building relationships with our partners across all of our programs.

Something I've helped the team with...

We launched a Premium Support program for our VC partners in collaboration with the Startup Customer Success team.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

The communication culture! While completely remote, there are only 47 public Slack channels and clearly defined ways of communicating and documenting work.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

I spearheaded Ashby’s first user conference, Ashby One. It was incredibly rewarding to see the enthusiasm and positive feedback from our customers, community, and team.

Something I've helped the team with...

We streamlined our event planning workflows and onboarded key vendors to support operations, enabling us to scale and run more events efficiently.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

I sensed that we had a strong customer base, but our customers really rave about us all the time! They constantly share their love of Ashby by email, social media, at events, etc.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

Working on the content for Ashby ONE as my first major marketing project is a career highlight! Coaching our speakers and ensuring they had an exceptional experience at our first user conference was so much fun. I learned a ton and feel like I've found my dream role at Ashby.

Something I've helped the team with...

Scaling our courses to enable the TA community has been really meaningful to me as a former recruiter. I'm thrilled I get to use my Learning & Development background in a new way and don't have to shelve the TA knowledge I amassed in past roles. I get to blend it all together for Ashby's courses and events.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

How much weight is placed on product feedback and feature requests. Ashby's product and engineering teams act quickly and thoughtfully to make our customers' experience the best it can be. Their speediness blows me away.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

Developing our account-based marketing program to provide a more holistic and personalized experience for enterprise companies interested in making the switch to Ashby.

Something I've helped the team with...

Facilitating more in-person interactions between Ashby's current and future customers at events of every size.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

How intentional and thoughtful every norm, guideline, and principle is. Despite the scale at which we operate, I never feel bogged down by red tape, or that my time is wasted on needless meetings or tasks. I'm free (and encouraged!) to spend my time as productively as possible at every turn. That is not always the case at companies of our size and growth rate.

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I’m excited to help build a world-class partner ecosystem at Ashby ... one that helps our customers get more out of the tools they already use, discover new ones, and connect with the best experts in the industry! From strategic sponsorships to collaborative events and enablement programs, I’m looking forward to creating thoughtful, repeatable ways to partner that drive real value for everyone involved. My onboarding experience at Ashby...

Fantastic!

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

How creatively Ashby has disrupted a space that’s historically been slow-moving and outdated.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

Creating spaces for the TA community to connect, learn from one another, and have even more honest conversations about how hiring is evolving.

Something I've helped the team with...

Helping connect the EMEA TA community more closely with the wider Ashby business. A big part of that has been bringing together Community, Content, Sales, and CS to create more meaningful experiences for customers and prospects. One example was EMEA’s first Hiring Excellence Framework cohort, where we worked cross-functionally to identify incredible speakers from the community, spotlight the work they’re doing inside their organisations, and build a genuinely curious and engaged cohort of talent leaders across the region.

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I'm excited to build out a scalable competitive intelligence program that helps Ashby continue to effectively compete & win.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

Onboarding at Ashby has been the best I've ever experienced! Key activities & trainings have been clearly laid out for me, the resources & documentation have been very comprehensive, and - most importantly - the team has been wonderfully supportive & helpful throughout the entire process.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

While not entirely a surprise after getting a glimpse of it throughout the hiring process, the culture at Ashby has been truly incredible. Everyone is incredibly smart & thoughtful, but simultaneously humble - creating an environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and transparency.

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I’ve spent the last several years as part of the talent acquisition community, learning from it, growing within it, and building my career alongside it. What excites me most about my role at Ashby is the opportunity to shift from being a participant in that community to being in a position to serve it. Ashby is already showing up with care, intention, and credibility in the spaces that matter most to talent and recruiting ops leaders, and I’m energized by the opportunity to build on that foundation by expanding existing efforts and creating new streams of content and conversation that genuinely support practitioners.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

So far, onboarding has been smooth sailing! It is clear how carefully everything is designed to make new joiners feel supported and set up for success. Everyone has been welcoming, responsive, and generous with their time, and I already feel like a real part of the team.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

The most surprising thing about Ashby is how central community is to its growth strategy. Ashby is not just focused on serving users through the product, but on showing up as an active, thoughtful participant in the broader Talent and Recruiting Operations community. There is a real commitment to earning trust through dialogue, presence, and contribution, not just publishing content or shipping features. That focus on being part of the conversation, not just the platform, is rare and incredibly meaningful.

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I’m excited to launch new products that give our customers more ways to run best-in-class operations. There’s a lot more coming, and I’m excited to see how customers use it to raise the bar even higher.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

My onboarding experience has been incredibly well-organized and seamless. I had everything I needed to ramp quickly.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

The extent to which thoughtfulness and excellence permeate everything we do here, including the product itself, the way we treat our customers, and how we communicate and work on a daily basis.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

The customer videos at Ashby One SF. I worked with the CS team to pick the right customers for both the opening video and the keynote spotlight videos showing how teams are using Ashby's newest features to improve their hiring outcomes and systems. Getting to dive into a meaningful project right away and meet the customers whose feedback shapes what we build was a great way to start.

Something I've helped the team with...

I’m working on building some AI tooling to improve our customer research and make it easier to work with the CS team when we're sourcing customers for case studies and speakers for events like Ashby One.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

Every single customer I've talked to has something genuinely great to say about Ashby. I've never seen that anywhere else I’ve worked. One customer told us that she doesn't enjoy public speaking, but agreed to both appear in the Ashby One customer video and give a lightning talk at the event because she is passionate about recruiting operations, and Ashby helps her be successful. Customers who care about the product as much as we do is rare, and it reflects how much the Ashby team invests in those relationships and in making the product better.

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I am really excited to lead the next iteration of VC and startup ecosystem partnerships here at Ashby! The team has done some incredible work in the space already, and I'm ready to dive in and build upon a lot of the great, foundational work and relationships that are in place today with existing and new partner channels.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

The onboarding experience at Ashby has been second to none. Not only has the onboarding process itself been thoughtful, organized, and delightful but the team has been truly so warm and welcoming.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

I had heard a lot about Ashby's commitment to thoughtful communication before joining the company, but seeing it in practice has been truly impressive. The level of documentation here is unlike anything I've ever seen before and has been absolutely incredible for a new hire to get up to speed quickly!

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I've spent my whole career planning events, and what excites me at Ashby is getting to build the backend- the systems, logistics, and vendor relationships that power our event operations and let us scale our amazing event experiences globally.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

My onboarding experience at Ashby has been great! The pace, and being able to ramp up and own workstreams within 60 days, made me feel apart of the team right away and a big part of that is how much thoughtful documentation is already in place, so I can usually find answers on my own instead of interrupting teammates. My colleagues have also been incredibly generous with their time whenever I did have questions.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

Ashby's values- especially around communication! Compared to previous companies I've worked at Slack is much quieter here, and focus time is protected, which has given me a lot of time to get heads down and get tasks done during the day.

Something I'm excited to work on at Ashby...

I’m excited to build Ashby’s content library system so our best work gets found, stays current, and keeps compounding long after it ships. There’s already so much strong thinking here, and I love the opportunity to make it more discoverable and more useful across every surface.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

I already loved the candidate experience from the outside, and it’s been really fun to see that same level of thoughtfulness carry through once you’re inside the company too.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

Ashby writes documentation like it’s a competitive sport, and somehow also has the funniest Slack/Zoom chat running commentary. I got a preview in the interview process, but seeing it on the ground has been even better than expected.
