Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

I joined in September 2022 to lead the public launch and scale the marketing team. In our first six months, we have accomplished a tonne: assembling a phenomenal team, launching highly effective campaigns, optimizing our brand and content strategy, and establishing a foundation for an efficient marketing function. While it's difficult to highlight a single project, I take immense pride in the team I'm cultivating and the exceptional quantity and quality of our work.

It's been a treat working so closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure that we are creating the relevant assets to ensure that the sales cycle is smooth and that customers are able to onboard and stay on top of new product launches.

How early we are and yet how much we've accomplished! This is the beginning of a long and successful run for our team.

Something I'm proud of at Ashby...

The Ashby 2023 Keynote! While all of marketing ran this effort, I got to own two important sections from content to customer interviews to post-production, and helped run the day of production and coach speakers during the actual event. Was an awesome way to get to know the team, collaborate, and deliver real value for our customers.

Something I've helped the team with...

Small but important as a growing company: Built a social media calendar in Asana for marketing to easily visualize what is being promoted by the team as a whole and when we have gaps in updates to introduce fresh content ideas.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

That it hasn't taken over the entire ATS market yet! The product is incredible, driven by a team that is humble, diligent, and deeply passionate about championing talent and recruiting.

Something I've helped the team with...

I helped launch a partnership dashboard in Hubspot so all my colleagues have insights into our active partners and partnership pipeline. Our team can now understand the impact of the broader partnership funnel and which channels within the funnel are most effective.

The async culture! Ashby employees embrace and respect async communications, allowing employees to focus on building and delivering a world-class product.

I've been working on our LinkedIn Ads strategy and it's been an amazing journey in teamwork. Redefining this strategy has required cross-functional efforts and aligning the execution across many folks. The results have rewarded the amazing work the team has done.

Something I've helped the team with...

For a Marketing team, being able to target the right audiences at the right time is crucial for any campaign or channel. I built a Total Addressable Market database that allows us to track and evaluate companies in our market and identify ones that are ready to start the sales cycle with us. This data improves our knowledge and targeting of prospects across many different channels.

It's my goal to build partnerships at Ashby into a robust ecosystem for the greater talent community: (1) Be the ATS that startups prefer because we set founders up for hiring excellence from day one. (2) Create a dynamic partner marketplace. (3) Have best-in-class partner marketing and enablement.

My onboarding experience at Ashby...

Onboarding at Ashby is incredibly robust and thoughtful. It's impressive to see the focus on making sure employees are set-up for long-term success, especially in a remote environment. I've had multiple 1:1s with my manager, team members across the organization, and feel like I know what's expected of me.

Most surprising thing about Ashby...

The communication culture! While completely remote, there are only 47 public Slack channels and clearly defined ways of communicating and documenting work.
