Job, take-home, and application details in your Interview Briefings
Today, we're releasing several improvements to the type of information you can access on Interview Briefings in Ashby.
These enhancements give interviewers more candidate context by surfacing key details directly in the interview briefing, helping your team conduct more informed and effective interviews.
What's new in Interview Briefings
We've expanded the information available in your interview briefings to include several new data points that help paint a complete picture of each candidate.
Application form submissions

See exactly what candidates submitted in their application forms, like responses to specific questions or ever longer form entries like cover letters. This gives all interviewers direct access to the candidate's application submission.
Dedicated tab for take-homes

Take-home assignments now have their own tab in the briefing, showing:
- Instructions sent to the candidate
- Instructions for reviewers
- The candidate's actual submission
This consolidated view makes it easier for interviewers to review take-home work and provide consistent evaluation.
Custom job field information

Custom job fields can now optionally display on the briefing tab, giving interviewers immediate visibility into role-specific requirements and context. This builds on our existing candidate custom fields to provide a more complete view.
Job posting context

Optionally display the job posting the candidate applied to, ensuring interviewers understand which role and requirements brought the candidate to your process.
Managing your own rollout via admin
We're also giving admins full control over how these improvements roll out to their teams.

Starting today, you'll see new settings in your admin panel for:
- Job postings display
- Application form
- Take-home assignments display
- Custom job field selection
You have three options for opting-in job postings and the take-homes:
- Enable early to start using immediately
- Auto-enable on September 1st (default)
- Disable if you prefer to keep the current experience
Interview briefings are a critical space for interviewers to prepare for their conversations with candidates. Having all relevant information in one place, without needing to navigate between multiple screens or ask teammates for documents, ensures your team shows up prepared and delivers a consistent interview experience.
To opt-in early head to the early access page and configure these settings. You can also configure head to the Interview Briefing settings to manage these settings once enabled.
