You can now dynamically set approvers based on the Hiring Team role. This allows you to create a more resilient approval process across Openings, Jobs, and Offers.

Implementing dynamic approvers in your recruiting process prevents delays that can occur when relying on a single, static individual for approvals.

This enables you to easily pull in the relevant people attached to a particular job consideration, including:

* Hiring Managers,
* Sourcers,
* Recruiters,
* Recruiting Coordinators,

Sometimes individual approvers are 'out of office,' or they change teams. Depending on the workflow, they may not have the context needed to make an approval on everything they're listed on.

Manually adjusting for these scenarios can slow down the hiring process. Now, when creating the approval, you can set a Hiring Team member, and it will dynamically pull in the correct people.

If you need to change it, you can do so for the relevant Hiring Team member instead of the approval workflow itself.

With this update you remove bottlenecks across your approval processes and allow for a more flexible approach that’s easy to change. To get started head over to any of your approvals and add the appropriate Hiring Team Member to the relevant approval steps.

Dynamically set the Sourcer, Recruiter, Recruiting Coordinator, or Hiring Manager as approvers in your Job, Opening, and Offer approval workflows. 

New Feature: Dynamically Set Hiring Team Members as Approvers

Starting today, customers can opt-in to Ashby’s AI-powered features directly from their admin page. We’ve now released three features utilizing the latest advancements in generative AI and natural language processing to help augment your workflows in Ashby.

At the heart of Ashby’s AI feature-set is designing workflows that make you more productive. Whether that’s removing admin tasks, drafting contextual copy for outreach emails, or automatically building candidate reports, we aim to introduce this technology for material impact in your daily usage of the product.

Let’s take a look at the cornerstone AI features in Ashby starting with our most recent addition: Automatic email response classification.

Ashby can automatically classify a recipient’s response to a sequence email as "Interested" or 'Not interested" depending on the text in the email reply.

You’ll see the response updated on the sequence page along with an icon that indicates it was set automatically.

You'll also receive a notification via slack or email letting you know the classification has taken place. If the text in the email reply is not clear, the response status will remain unset. You can always adjust the response status directly if needed directly from the notification.

You now have a smart shortcut for setting response status that helps you maintain your data hygiene. When your response status is consistently set, you can report on and optimize your outreach strategies.

## AI-generated filters for candidate search

Use natural language to describe the candidates you’re searching for and the AI assistant will automatically build the filters for you.

You also have the option to tweak the filters or add new ones after the assistant has returned the filters e.g. filters 1-4.

## Generative AI Email Tokens

Lastly, we have AI substitution tokens that can be used in your email sequences and LinkedIn outreach.

This AI-powered tool serves as both a research assistant and a copywriter. It automatically generates text for your emails, helping you to draft compelling copy. It will take into account the job description and the candidate’s work history.

Similar to the AI-generated filters, you have the option to accept, edit, or regenerate the text provided by the token.

New Integration: Connect Ashby to Zapier’s Automation Platform

We’re excited to announce a new integration that brings you a reliable, bi-directional sync between Ashby and Workday.

By connecting Ashby and Workday you can:

1. Sync Workday Job Requisitions as jobs in Ashby
2. Sync Workday Positions as openings in Ashby
3. Push candidates hired in Ashby back into Workday

When building this integration we made sure to solve for a lot of the problems recruiting teams have experienced in the past when connecting an ATS to their HRIS.

## Current problems with legacy ATS and Workday integrations

* **Long implementation timelines:** Traditionally, you’d need to hire an outside consultant to build out this type of integration. It can take several months before having something you can actually use.
* **Upfront and ongoing costs:** These third-party consultants often have high upfront costs to build, and maintenance fees to manage the connection.
* **Poor visibility into issues:** If the integration has issues it’s challenging to diagnose and fix anything without the initial consultant. This can lead to a loss of data integrity and manual work to reconcile ATS and HRIS data.
* **Compromised workflows due to limitations:** Unfortunately, recruiting teams can also find themselves adjusting their hiring process to fit the limitations of the integration.

Keeping this scheduling workflow in Ashby reduces the back and forth email communication with meeting organizers if candidates can’t find a time that works for them. It also provides a more approachable way for candidates to suggest new times, rather than force a time that's inconvenient, leading to a higher quality interview experience.

Now, when scheduling through a direct booking link candidates can have the option to suggest times to the meeting organizer.
